Unlike many competitors, Floyd designs its products right in Detroit and manufactures them across Michigan’s west side—a region rich with furniture-making heritage dating back to mid-century legends like Herman Miller and Steelcase. We aimed to showcase this craftsmanship through a more editorial lens, creating beautiful, artfully crafted imagery that elevates the manufacturing process beyond the ordinary.
These features celebrate the skill, quality, and attention to detail behind every piece, while reinforcing Floyd’s commitment to American-made excellence and its deep roots in local industry. The result is a compelling visual story that highlights manufacturing as both an art and a tradition.
